The last session of The Holy Theatre's mini conference Open to Persuasion is "Ask Me Anything (About Persuasion): In the Weeds with Resident Experts." From the title, it should be a lively talk for a Sunday morning and a great way to start the day. Get your questions ready and find out what experts David Shapard and Lena Ruth Yasutake have to say.
As one of the founding Board of Directors of The Holy Theatre, I will be doing a series of giveaways from my sample inventory. The first giveaway is for the Jane NYC Taxi Striped Handbag with Shoulder Strap valued at the pre-order price of $69.99. The price will go up after my fashion week show on September 10th, 2022 to $80.
This is the print I designed with Jane Austen's novels which included Sense and Sensibility, Pride and Prejudice, Mansfield Park, Emma, Northanger Abbey, and Persuasion. I think you see the inspiration behind the print are the famous colors of our taxicabs here in NYC. I'm still working on some styles for my runway show on September 10th, but here is a sample of a shoulder bag with the print.
I created this print from a painting I did when I was engaged in Colorado. I had asked my then boyfriend to marry me and I felt like that it was something Elizabeth Bennet would do today. Actually, any one of Jane Austen's characters could do that today and they too would have chosen wisely.
"The well-known astrologer Anne Orteleehas agreed to read "Jane," in the person of mydear friend Laura Rocklyn — whom you may have seen portray her before in my play Manydown and/or in her own solo show Who Dares to Be an Authoress. Anne is always fully-booked for readings about six months in advance, so I'm particularly chuffed that she's agreed to squeeze Miss Austen in.
